Thank you to the people over at goldflakepaint.co.uk, who have taken the time to find, listen to and post a review of our recently launched album Paper Wallpaper. The review itself is a positive one - as you might expect when someone posts it on their site - starting with the line: "A sweet collection of hushed acoustic musings..."
After months of work I can finally buy that foot-long cigar I promised myself upon releasing my first album:
We made the tracks available earlier today and people have already been listening and downloading the tracks, the early response we've had has been great.
I have to thank everyone who was involved on the project, this has been a massively educational experience for me and I couldn't have done it without the support of my musical friends and family.
Special thanks go to:
I've been trying to make sense of Arsenal Football Club this season. I don't know where to start exactly, so I'll start from the obvious: Arsenal have not made the best use of this pre-season period. We have offered some youngsters the chance to play first team football, and made some extra cash from the Asian tour, which is good.
Song for pomegranates, the first single from paper wallpaper's debut album has been released today on Bandcamp. The Song was written in England (Oxford and Brighton) and recorded in Sound Farm Studios in Turkey this summer. The bandcamp artist page, which can be found here, also includes a bonus B-side track remixed by DJ Triple M.
I'm currently doing some design work for an Austrian charity called PROSA. They provide refugees and seekers of asylum with free language courses and integration support for their new Austrian homes.
PROSA are organising their annual event marathon of parties and performances and will be distributing thousands of flyers, stickers and posters with my designs on them. This kind of one off project usually allows free reign on the creative side (within the limits of the brief).
Here are a couple of examples that will soon grace the bars, pubs and student venues of Vienna:
A quick album update for those of you checking back regularly; I've had some great early feedback from trusted listeners regarding the album. Dominic is on the road around Europe, we'll finalise the details of the promised teaser track as soon as we can reach other again.
The release of the album is a while away however, it needs to undergo a very necessary mastering session before it's signed off to the world. Watch this space for more.
So our four week retreat to the nest of a farm house in Mugla, Turkey is over. Having put in a hell of a final shift (working all night to 6am before packing our things and leaving) Dominic is now well on his way to Beograd and I've returned to Austria with 9 tracks of an album awaiting polish before release.
If all things go well we'll release the tracks in the next 4-8 weeks, with a teaser release in the meantime, to whet various appetites.

Not that it was a secret, we just confirmed it today.[drum roll] and the title is... 'paper wallpaper', as in Dominic's (AKA paper wallpaper) self-titled album.
